if your initials are t.f., then i think it is totally worthwhile for you to go out and buy tom ford's $40 a tube lipstick, if only for the chance to get to smear your own initials into oblivion with your lips.
(now there's an existentially interesting proposition!)
if this range of lipsticks had "j.l." embossed on them, i'd probably feel compelled to go out and buy every color....
but at the moment, i'm only enough of a sucker to buy one- "ginger fawn".
